Comet - “Eau De Comet”
Role: Brand Strategist & Art Director
Featured: Texas Creative Showcase
How do you make a $2 can of bleach feel unignorable in a commoditized category?
Cleaning products live in a zero-emotion, hyper-utility vacuum. Consumers buy based on price and habit, rarely building brand love for something tucked under the sink. Comet needed a way to break out of the cleaning aisle and crash into culture.
High-fashion perfume ads spend millions selling abstract notions of "purity," "freshness," and "attraction" through overly dramatic, pretentious tropes. High fashion promises clean living; Comet actually delivers total cleanliness.
By hijacking the visual language of Tom Ford, Dior, and YSL, Comet parodies luxury fragrance advertising to turn a harsh industrial cleanser into a self-aware, provocative status symbol.
"The ultimate clean deserves the ultimate luxury."
